Programs at The Salvation Army Kroc Center
The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center has a vested interest in the success of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. At the foundation of our passion, we aim to offer programs to cultivate a sense of self-ownership and empowerment in the lives of thousands.
We offer a wide range of athletic and recreational activities for youth and adults; music training and workshops for interested community members; a performance and visual arts theatre; a multi-purpose center; and Young at Heart for our Seniors-which offers supportive systems and opportunities for volunteering.
Ultimately, The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center programs want Mississippi Gulf Coast residents to realize their full potential. We understand that this area is full of people who have a strong desire to serve their communities and we encourage you to be part of “Doing The Most Good.” We also want our residents to know that they are valued and deserve the best that can be offered from caring partners. We believe that a spiritual mindset and a healthy body will be achieved through The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center’s supportive programming.

Our fitness center is available to all members for strength, cardio, flexibility and agility training. We have a professional, educated floor staff to show members how to use and adjust all of our equipment and are happy to provide all of our members with a free fitness consultation and equipment orientation.
Additional programs, such as personal fitness training and sports performance training are available at modest fees to help you get the most out of your workouts. For something upbeat, we offer a variety of group exercise classes from Zumba, Pilates and low impact aerobics to group strength training and senior adult classes in balance & fall prevention, and gentle strength training.
Our members also receive a discount on specialty classes like Zumba and so much more. Drop-in basketball, volleyball, and other indoor sports are available daily to members and day-pass purchasers unless the gymnasium is in use for league play or specialty classes. Performing and Visual Arts:
The Performing and Visual Arts Program is increasingly popular with area residents of all ages. These unique programs provides an opportunity to grow and develop in the arts, in a safe and fun-filled environment and with a strong Christian foundation. As they enhance their skills in drama, art, music and dance, participants learn responsibility, by learning extensive lines; enhance integrity, by learning the value of constructive criticism; build confidence, by speaking and performing for audiences; and learn the value of team work, by working with others throughout rehearsals and productions.
