Home School Program!

Our homeschool courses are designed with you and your students in mind! We offer extracurricular classes that give your students the ability to socialize, collaborate, work as a team, and get experience in a classroom setting in a safe environment. We believe in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way they should go, and they will not depart from it.” Our classes are designed with life-giving principles and our teachers are here to serve you!

*Please note, total amount due is payable in two payments. This is to make payments manageable for your family. When you sign up for a semester, you are obligated to pay BOTH payments.

Monday and Wednesday classes may not be combined for the multi-class discount.

ART: This class is catered to students of all ages, and each class is adjusted to every student’s age and abilities. Students will learn the basic techniques of art including the elements and principles of art. This class will give students the opportunity to get hands-on and creative while learning how to use various materials such as acrylic paint, watercolor, pastels, found objects, charcoal, etc.

Pottery: Throughout this class, students will learn about the function and history of pottery. This is a great class for students who like to think in a more 3-dimensional way and who like to mold things with their hands. Students will explore how art can be a functional object as well as a sculptural art piece. During this class, the students will experience and understand the function of the kiln by learning how to properly utilize ceramic materials such as a slab roller, pottery wheel, glaze, and clay.

DANCE:

Little Kroc Stars (Ages 5-6)
A beginner’s introduction to dance that will cover basic formal dance techniques. Your student will receive a foundation of dance and learn basic steps in ballet, tap, and creative movement. Students will be motivated in creativity and imagination through games, choreography, and activities. Dancers in this class will improve flexibility and coordination through age-appropriate instruction. Students will get to perform at the recital using what they learned in class.

Kroc Stars Dance (4-12)

A combination dance class that teaches in-depth technique in different dance styles. This class is geared toward older students an will move at a faster pace. Proper attire and dance shoes may be required.

Beginner’s Tap (8+)

Beginners Tap class for those looking to make some noise on the dance floor and learn rhythm and technique in the traditional tap style teaching.

CREATIVE ARTS

Broadcasting Arts (Ages 8-12)

This course is a professionally-oriented media course intended for students wanting to begin their learning within the Broadcast Journalism program.

Theatre (Ages 8+)

This class will focus on different methods of acting, scene work, studying dramatic works, movement, and creative choices. Students will showcase their talents in the production in the Christmas production.

Science Lab (Ages 6 +)

This class will consist of a science lesson followed by an experiment based on the lesson. Students may need to bring materials to class and will have a materials list supplied by the teacher.

Gardening (ages 6+)

This class will consist of a science lesson followed by an experiment based on the lesson. Students may need to bring materials to class and will have a materials list supplied by the teacher.

Creative Writing (ages 13+)

Creative Writing is designed for students to create original forms of descriptive writing, poetry, drama, and fiction. Students will also read classic works in these areas.

MUSIC: Music classes take place on Mondays. Ages 8 and up must choose an instrument from the class descriptions below during their class time on the schedule labeled Music. 

Storytime: (Ages 4-7)

This class is designed to teach kids about melody, harmony rhythm and expression of emotion through musical activities. We dance. We sing. We learn. We have fun by exercising our natural abilities to play music.

Music (Ages 4-7)

We believe music is important for your child’s personal development, so this class focuses on introducing kids to musical concepts with engaging activities, different instruments, and playful interactions with classmates. Students will get to perform at our end of the year recital using what they learned in class.

Piano (Ages 8+)

This hour-long group piano course is designed with the beginning piano student in mind. We strive to have every student starting around the same level, so they can progress at the same speed. Your student will get to perform an end of the year recital.

Strings (ages 8+) Your students will begin with a need’s assessment and a learning plan to help them learn to play the violin at a beginner level will be established. Students will perform at an end of the year recital.

Vocal Performance (ages 8 +)

Students will learn how to sing and perform as a group singing multiple parts. Choir helps to build a student’s musicality and learn to work together as a team. Students will also perform at the end of the year recital.

Drums (Ages 8+)

Students will learn the basics and fundamentals of the snare drum and percussion instruments. This is a group class and students will perform in a recital at the end of the semester.

Guitar (Ages 8+)

Students will learn the basics and fundamentals of the acoustic guitar. This is a group class and students will perform in a recital at the end of the semester. Students may bring their own guitar or rent one from the Kroc center depending on availability.

Music Production (Ages 12 +)

Students will learn the basics of songwriting, music production, and music theory to work towards recording and producing their own original song.

Piano(Ages 8+):

This is a group class for ages 8 and up who are looking to seriously study their instrument and craft. Classes will begin with an assessment determining where your student is at and how to plan to help them grow in their musicianship. Students may be required to purchase materials for the course.

P.E.:

Physical Education ( Ages 4-7)

Get your students active with age-appropriate exercise and guided workouts! Students must wear gym clothes and tennis shoes.

Due to lesson plans, the child must be age appropriate for the class.
