Welcome to The Salvation Army Kroc Center Home School Program!

The Salvation Army Kroc Center’s Home School Program provides social, recreational, and educational enrichment opportunities through PE, Art, and Music programs for homeschool students ages 4 and up.

The Home School Program at The Salvation Army Kroc Center will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Art allows students to experiment with many different types of media and create their own projects, learn art history, and study different artists.

Dance is Gulfport Little Theatre’s eight-week dance sessions focusing on ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and choreography for musicals. GLT’s classes are patterned after the Royal Academy of Dance.  Brennah Ladner of GLT and the Salvation Army Kroc Center Music and Creative Arts are looking forward to sharing our love of dance with your child.  A performance recital will be held at the end of each semester session.  In addition, the musical choreography in class will correspond to our upcoming musical on campus.

Broadcasting Arts features instructor Jwan Jordan of WLOX13, and kids of all ages will learn about broadcasting arts, film, journalism and will be groomed to appear on our upcoming kids-only news-worthy videos.

Theatre prepares kids of all ages for upcoming musical productions at The Salvation Army Kroc Center.

Music will allow students to explore instruments, play as a group, and build a solid music foundation.  Students 8 and up can choose to attend one specialized group music class from Band, Drums, Guitar, or Keyboard.  Students will be placed in the appropriate level designated by the instructor and instruments can be rented or purchased from your local music store.

PE (Physical Education) teaches students teamwork, exercises, and how to be health conscious. Must wear tennis shoes to participate.

Swimming will involve a basic water safety course (not swim lessons), followed by free swim time.

Spanish teaches students the fundamentals of the Spanish language while also learning about Spanish-speaking cultures.

Science Lab will allow students to perform concentrated science experiments in a group setting.
